Four injured in New Delhi building collapse

In the second such incident in three days, an under-construction building collapsed in New Delhi on Tuesday afternoon injuring four labourers including a minor boy.

In the second such incident in three days, an under-construction building collapsed in New Delhi on Tuesday afternoon injuring four labourers including a minor boy.

The first floor of the under construction structure in Sector 16 of Prashant Vihar in North-West Delhi caved in at around 3:30 pm, police sources said.

Among the injured are two women, a man and a minor boy, they said, adding they were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

One more person is trapped inside the debris and efforts are being made to rescue him, the sources said adding the identity of the injured is yet to be established.

This is the second incident of building collapse in Delhi in three days.

On March 29, nine people, including two children, were killed and several others injured when a four-storey under-construction building collapsed in New Usmanpur of North East Delhi.
