Health Minister Kiran Walia visited various Games venues as well as training venues across the city to inspect the medical facilities being put in place for athletes and officials of the event.

She said a total of 42 medical centres have been set up at these venues besides a poly clinic with 10 observation beds in Games Village where over 7,000 athletes will be putting up. All the medical facilities in Games venues and Games Village will have trained doctors and para medical staff.

"Requisite medicines and necessary equipment have been provided at the medical centres," she said.

Over 20 participating nations has sought information from the Games Organising Committee about the dengue outbreak in the city.
