Rajender Kumar Kataria, son-in-law of Haryana Congress president Phool Chand Mullana, was shifted to Haryana soon after the Hooda government came to power in 2005. His extended tenure ends on August 17. But the CM has requested the prime minister to extend Kataria’s deputation as “a special case”.
Kataria, a 1996 batch IAS officer, is currently posted as administrator, Huda, in Panchkula. His name recently figured in a controversial case in which the Punjab and Haryana high court dispensed with the services of Sirsa additional district and sessions judge Ashwani Kumar Shori for not behaving himself in the manner required of a judicial officer.
