Inter-state gang busted by Delhi Police

An inter-state gang of snatchers who also used to indulge in drug trafficking was busted and as many as 12 persons, belonging to the Babu Bhai Gang, were arrested in north Delhi, police said on Saturday. HT reports.

An inter-state gang of snatchers who also used to indulge in drug trafficking was busted and as many as 12 persons, belonging to the Babu Bhai Gang, were arrested in north Delhi, police said on Saturday.

“The gang was operational in major cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Six of their members were arrested in Lahori Gate and over 7kg of charas has been recovered from their possession,” said IB Rani, deputy commissioner of police (north).

Police said six more of the gang’s members had been arrested recently and, at present, 12 members of the gang hailing from Mumbai, have been nabbed and seven cases of snatching have been worked out and seven kilograms of charas, estimated to be worth R1 lakh recovered from their possession.
