Kejriwal to protest outside Delhi CM’s residence

Arvind Kejriwal, leader of the Aam Admi Party (AAP), will stage a demonstration in front of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit’s residence on Friday to protest against the demolition of about 500 houses at Shaheen Bagh in Okhla.

Kejriwal visited Shaheen Bagh on Thursday to express sympathy with people whose houses were demolished on Tuesday.

Calling it a conspiracy to grab prime land, Kejriwal said, “Those whose houses have been demolished are poor. They have supporting documents such as voters’ ID, gas connections and even Aadhar cards. Besides, the government did not even give them notice before demolition.”
