On Sunday, more than 60,000 protesters turned up at Ramlila Ground to express solidarity with Anna Hazare. However, once there, they did not know where to go as there were no clear signages to lead them to the venue.

“We can’t find our way inside. We have been walking outside the ground for the last 20 minutes but the police keeps ushering us from one gate to another. It is surprising that there aren’t any clear signages,” said Ajay Tripathi, who had come from Noida.

“There is one entry for the media and one for general public. There isn’t any clear indication where the people should enter from, so they are taking the nearest entry, which is the media entry and they aren't allowed to enter through that,” said a senior police officer.

Inside, the situation was no better. Ropes and barricading along the tent added to the confusion among those looking for exit gates.

The disruption also went beyond the ground’s boundaries with restrictions on vehicular movement, diversions and jams throwing traffic out of gear on Sunday. Restrictions were imposed on several roads including around India Gate, KG Marg, Barakhamba Road and Ranjit Singh Flyover for the candlelight march.

Traffic movement will be restricted at Karol Bagh, Mandir Marg, Peshwa Road, Gole Market, Bhagat Singh Marg, GPO roundabout, Kali Bari Marg due to a Janmashtmi on Monday.
