Little chance of BJP win in 2014: RSS

The BJP's poor performance in UP has upset its parent body, the RSS. Its mouthpieces have begun to wonder whether it would be able to win the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. Organiser and Panchjanya asked the BJP why it could not be the choice for voters in UP. HT reports.

The BJP's poor performance in UP has upset its parent body, the RSS. Its mouthpieces have begun to wonder whether it would be able to win the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

Two RSS journals have said the BJP was suffering from “Congress patch” in the state and was disconnected from the people. They said it will be difficult for the BJP, which has a “bigger army of leaders than workers” in the state, to come to power in 2014 unless it answers the questions posed by assembly poll results.

Organiser and Panchjanya asked the BJP why it could not be the choice for voters despite having an organised structure and cadre in Uttar Pradesh.

Asking the BJP to look into the election results, the RSS mouthpieces said, “Election results in UP have posed several questions and their solutions have to be found well in time, otherwise 2014 general elections may prove to be an “agneepath” (path of fire), crossing which to reach the centre of power may prove to be difficult.”
