The flier — identified as Shadeb Khan — flew from Hong Kong to New Delhi with a huge cache of unauthorised expensive articles worth Rs 35.1 lakh.

Acting on a tip-off, customs officials at the airport apprehended Khan who travelled in Air India flight number 315. Later he was arrested, said officials.

"We had specific information that Khan would carry watches and electronics concealed in his body. Based on the input, we stopped him when he was crossing the Green Channel and questioned him about any dutiable goods or contraband goods in his baggage or person," said VK Goel, commissioner, Customs, IGI Airport.

Initially, Khan did not reveal the truth. The customs officials then scanned his bags and searched him thoroughly. On search it was found that he was wearing a 'Breitling for Bentley' watch on his upper arms and hid four leather straps bearing 'Breitling' embossed on them in his canvas shoes.

During interrogation Khan reportedly disclosed that he was also carrying some more watches hidden in his rectum and volunteered to eject the same. He was then taken to a washroom where he ejected one packet of five watches wrapped in transparent plastics.

Officials also opened the hollow aluminium handle of his stroller bag and found 3,000 2GB Micro SD cards hidden
in it.
