Man kills one for harassing sister

The Ghaziabad police on Wednesday arrested Pawan Sharma ,23, and his brother-in-law for killing a 19-year-old man. Pawan and his brother-in-law Rajesh Sharma have confessed to the crime, police said.

On October 23, the duo shot dead 19-year-old Raju for allegedly making sexual advances towards Sharma’s sister. Planning to kill him, the woman’s brother and husband asked her to call Raju to meet her at an isolated place. When the victim arrived, the duo fired two bullet shots and killed him.

“One of the bullets accidentally hit Rajesh, while the second one killed Raju. His body was recovered from an area near NH-24 at Murad Nagar,” SSP Raghubir Lal said.

In his statement to the police, Pawan said: “Raju, who was a nephew of my sister’s husband, had made numerous sexual advances towards her. Even though we warned him many a times, he continued to harass her. So we both decided to teach him a lesson. There was no alternative.”
