If you have managed to secure a seat in the course of your choice in DU but not in your favourite college, then let it go. Delhi University provides migration after completion of the first year in the colleges. The only requirement is to score well in the first year.

Many students take admission in various courses and get migrated every year. "We welcome the hard-working students even in the second year of their graduation through migration." says Dr R S Reddy, Principal, Sri Venkateswara College. Just a year of hard work and your dream college is waiting for you.

Another essential fact about migration is that the degree, which you get on the completion of your graduation, is of the college from which you pass out. There is no looking back once you get migrated. The availability of seats in a particular course of the college and the individual marks determines whether a student is eligible to migrate to a particular college or not.

However, a student cannot migrate in the very first year of his graduation. Migrating from a pass course to Honours course is also an impossible thing but one can rather migrate from an Honours course to a pass course. It is important to note that no inter-university migration is allowed to second or third year of B.Sc (Hons.) courses.

The percentage required for the migration, however, differs from college to college and from course to course.
