A moderate-intensity earthquake, measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale, shook some parts of northern India today.

A moderate-intensity earthquake, measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale, shook some parts of northern India on Monday.

No loss of life or damage to property has been reported so far, the meteorological department said.

The quake, which was epicentered somewhere in Tibet, was felt at 6.52 pm in Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal and some parts of Uttar Pradesh, it said.
