Recently, it attached three properties on Barakhamba Road that have arrears of around Rs.10 crore. According to officials, properties worth crores of rupees will be auctioned to recover the losses.

“We have been sending notices to the owners of the three properties, but they did not pay the arrears. So, their properties have been attached,” said a senior official.

According to a statement issued by the body, the owners did not even respond to the council’s announcement to give 5% rebate to them if they got their property assessed and pay the dues.
