According to police, the accused have been identified as Vishnu Nath Gurung and Krishna Bahadur Rai.

“We arrested the duo after nabbing a local agent of Nepali origin for possessing fake passports. The agent confessed to having sent several Nepalis to Kabul using fraudulently-obtained documents,” said a senior police officer on condition of anonymity.

Police said initial interrogations revealed that they had procured the fake Indian passports from the Regional Passport Office in Guwahati.
