A 23-year-old newlywed man was found shot dead near Loni border area in Ghaziabad on Monday morning, police said.
A 23-year-old newlywed man was found shot dead near Loni border area in Ghaziabad on Monday morning, police said.
Police officials said Nitin Kumar, an employee of a private company in Noida, was found dead with a bullet injury on his head.
The father of the deceased has lodged a complaint at the Loni police station in this regard. The family suspects the role of one Mal Valmiki behind the incident.
“The suspect, who is presently absconding, is believed to be in love with the victim’s wife. Earlier, the couple used to live in his house on rent. Suspecting his motives, however, the husband and wife, who got married six months ago, moved out of his house to another accommodation in Raj Nagar area near Loni,” senior superintendent of police (SSP) Rahbubir Lal said.
“We have also come to know that six months back somebody tried to poison Nitin, but he survived,” the SSP said.
