NGOs get govt funds for social work

The Delhi Kalyan Samiti has allocated funds to various NGOs and organisations for taking up social development projects across the city.

The Delhi Kalyan Samiti has allocated funds to various NGOs and organisations for taking up social development projects across the city.

On Wednesday, the Delhi Kalyan Samiti sanctioned an amount of Rs 57 lakh to the social organisations.

“Over Rs 12 lakh were sanctioned for computer training programmes. Sophia Educational and Social Welfare Society got an amount of R4.75 lakh for setting up a computer centre for youth, girls and women. Sahyog Vikas Samiti was sanctioned Rs 4 lakh and an amount of Rs 6.50 lakh has been sanctioned to Nav Yuvak Lok Kalyan Samiti,” a senior Delhi government official said.
