The monitoring committee of the Supreme Court has issued directions to the civic body for sealing coaching centres in the NDSE I area, as these are not covered under the Master Plan 2021 provisions.
On Sunday, Yogender Chandolia, chairman of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) standing committee said, “Delhi Development Provisional Authority had approved the layout of NDSE in 1956... The standing committee of MCD had finalised completion plan of NDSE in 1965. Therefore, Master plan 2021 exemptions are applicable to this area and there should be no sealing.”
The MCD has sent the relevant file to the L-G, who will now take a final call on the issue.
