A call centre employee died on Saturday when his motorcycle crashed into the side verge of the “faulty” Palam-Dwarka flyover and fell on the slip road below, police said.

The victim, Max Chinliensang Buhril, 21, was killed barely 100 metres after he ascended the flyover. “He lost balance while trying to negotiate a sharp bend and rammed into the side verge. He fell on his head on the slip road below,” said Buhril’s relative, Thang. He was rushed to DDU Hospital where he was declared brought dead
“Accidents take place because motorcyclists are not aware of the sudden curves on the flyover. It has a faulty design, making it accident prone,” said P.K. Sarkar, head, transportation wing, School of Planning and Architecture.
