During the weekend, BJP and Left leaders held talks to chalk out the future strategy. “I have spoken to the BJP leadership. Although the government has not said anything formally, we don’t think suspension of the decision is enough. We will force the government for a complete rollback of this anti-people policy,” CPI leader Gurudas Dasgupta told HT.

The Left, BJP and other opposition parties are likely to hold further talks. “We will demand an adjournment motion on the FDI issue,” Dasgupta said. JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav said complete rollback was required and a mere suspension of the decision would not work.
