The bodies of YPS Chauhan, wife Rekha and daughter Karishma were found in their Sector 17 home on Friday morning.

Police said the family had got Rs. 35 lakh as compensation for the death of Chauhan’s son in a road accident in 2010. “We will question the son’s widow on disputes, if any, in sharing the compensation,” an officer said.

“Chauhan also sold ancestral land in Uttar Pradesh. We have called his brother to check if there were differences over the deal,” the officer said.
