"The Election Commission will make all arrangements in the refugee camps in Jammu, Delhi, Kandhamal and Chhattisgarh so that people (living in camps) could cast their voters,” Deputy Election Commission J P Prakash told reporters in New Delhi.

Poll arrangements are being made in Jammu and Delhi refugee camps of Kashmiri Pandits, who fled the Kashmir Valley in early 1990s when insurgency erupted there.

Similarly, arrangements are being made in Kandhamal district of Orissa which was rocked by anti-Christian violence last year. Many people are living in refugee camps in Kandhamal.

Prakash said four companies of rapid action force have been deployed in Kandhamal to facilitate the safety of the people living in the six refugee camps.
