The railways has offered her a job. Sports minister Ajay Maken, who has sent three Sports Authority of India officials to Bareilly for a detailed report, announced a grant of Rs 2 lakh. On Wednesday, the ministry had announced an ex gratia of Rs 25,000. The Prime Minister’s Office has sought a report into the incident.

Announcing an assistance of Rs 1 lakh, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati asked the police to expedite the investigation.

The Government Railway Police are yet to make a breakthrough. A four-member team was probing the matter, said AK Singhal, deputy divisional railway manager, Moradabad. Sinha was pushed off Padmawat Express at Chenati as she fought off chains snatchers.
