Realty agent dupes Korean embassy of Rs 57 lakh

The South Korean embassy has lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police against a property dealer who duped them of Rs 57 lakh by promising to rent them out a four-storey building in Greater Kailash. HT reports.

Kim Kum Pyoung, the First Secretary in charge of Cultural Affairs at the South Korean embassy lodged a complaint at the Greater Kailash police station. The dealer, identified as Yashwant Singh, is untraceable.

According to Kim, first floor and basement of the property that Singh had promised to get them on rent for the Korean Cultural Center had already been leased out. "Five valuable months have been wasted due to the fraud and we have not been able to open the Cultural Centre in 2011 as promised by the Republic of Korea to the Indian Government," Kim told Hindustan Times.
