Sub-inspector KP Shah, posted at Amar Colony police station along with the team and the engineer, entered into a scuffle with residents when the team was removing illegal structures.

“Even after serving many notices, residents didn’t bother to remove the illegal structures. When the team tried to remove these, the residents suddenly turned violent,” said a senior police officer.

Meanwhile, in another incident, a traffic police personnel was injured when a 16-year-old boy, riding a scooter, hit him in South Delhi’s Nehru Place area.

The accident took on Sunday evening when a vehicle checking drive was on in the area.
