Role of Kashmiri youth not limited to emails, says NIA

The alleged terrorists, Abid Hussain and Aamir Abhas Dev, were arrested from Kishtwar district in Jammu region.
The agency, in its remand application before special NIA judge HS Sharma, said their roles were not limited to just sending emails after the blast, but they also played a crucial part in the conspiracy hatched to carry out the blast at the Delhi High Court on September 7. Hussain
was produced before the court during the early morning hours, while Dev was produced late in the afternoon.
“He (Dev) is one of the terrorists, who were part of the conspiracy behind the bomb blast between gate number 4 and 5 of the Delhi High Court. He is one of the conspirators and needs to be interrogated thoroughly to trace their complicity in the terrorist crime and other associates are also involved in this terrorist crime and conspiracy,” said NIA in its remand application for Dev.
A similar statement was also made for Hussain, seeking his custodial interrogation.
The agency has registered a case against them under series of charges: murder, explosives act, criminal conspiracy, unlawful activities and others.
The judge asked journalists to vacate the courtroom, following a request by the agency in the morning for in-camera proceedings. The agency produced both the terrorists with their faces covered.
The court has remanded Hussain to 14 days of custodial interrogation and Dev to one day of custody.
