The JNU administration had rusticated five students, including JNUSU president Sandeep Singh, vice president Shephalika Shekhar and joint secretary Mobeen Alam, for their “defiant act” of stalling the sale of prospectus in the campus.

Apart from JNUSU officer-bearers, two others who were rusticated are Roshan Kishore and Renu Singh.

The varsity authorities have declared Singh out of bounds for two years while other students were declared out of bounds with immediate effect for one year.

The action was taken after the students tried to stop the sale of prospectus in the campus.
