A 25-year-old videographer was killed in the early hours of Monday when his bike crashed into the raised verge of the Dwarka flyover.

His colleague, who was riding pillion, survived.
Shrikant Sharma was barely a kilometre from home at the time of the accident. A resident of Rajapuri in Bindapur, Sharma fell on his head. He was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Sharma crashed into the verge just across the road from the spot where a 21-year-old biker was killed on Saturday.

Sole breadwinner
Sharma was the sole breadwinner of his family. He used to earn about Rs 100 a day shooting videos at weddings and birthday parties. His father Ved Bhushan is a wage earner.
Sharma was returning from a wedding shoot in Palam village around 1.30 am when the accident occurred.
“Around 12.30 am, he told me he would be home in an hour. He had just started his career. Why did he have to join this office,” said Sheela Sharma, Shrikant Sharma’s mother.
Sharma’s uncle Satish Kumar said, “It was not even his motorcycle. He took a shortcut to reach home. He could have easily taken the road below the flyover.”
Sheer luck
Mohit Kumar (20), who was riding pillion behind Sharma, said, “I do not remember what happened. There was a sudden jolt. When I woke up I found myself in the hospital.”
Kumar was discharged after being provided medical attention at DDU hospital.
“We can’t stop thanking God. He is our only son. He took up this job to support the family,” said Ramesh Chander, Kumar’s father.
