Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kiran Bansal sent Ajay Sethi alias Malik, a resident of Faridabad in Haryana, who was recently arrested in connection with the case, to jail till April 21.

Sethi, who is the fifth accused, had allegedly helped Soumya's killers in getting rid of the car used in tailing the victim's vehicle on the fateful night.

The four other accused -- Ravi Kapoor, Amit Kumar Shukla, Baljit Malik and Ajay -- are presently in police custody and being quizzed by the investigators.

The investigators had earlier sought to interrogate the four accused in the custody for recovering the car and the weapon of offence.

The accused are "hardcore criminals" and have been involved in over 50 cases and their interrogation would help in tracking the missing links in the case, the Investigating Officer seeking their custodial interrogation told the court.

Soumya, an employee of Headlines Today news channel, was found shot dead in her car on September 30 last year while returning home from office.
