Rana worked with CIT Services SSMS private limited, which was entrusted with replenishing cash in Kotak Mahindra ATMs.

According to the police, Rana had access codes to the safes of these ATMs.

"Rana was the custodian of 14 ATMs of Kotak Mahindra Bank in northwest, outer and west Delhi," said BS Jaiswal, deputy commissioner of police (outer).

"He and his friend Arvinder Singh hatched a conspiracy to steal money from these ATMs. They roped in one Babloo Kumar Prasad, who had worked with Arvinder earlier," Jaiswal added.

"On July 29 and 30, Rana replenished 14 ATMs of Kotak Mahindra Bank with cash. On July 30, Rana called Singh and went to all the ATMs to take out cash," Jaiswal said further.

"They were nabbed from ISBT Kashmiri Gate. We have recovered Rs 92 lakh in cash from them. They gave the remaining cash to their girlfriends. We will arrest them also," Jaiswal added.
