Three killed, three injured in separate accidents

Three motorcyclists were killed and three others injured in three separate road accidents in central Delhi on Friday night.

Three motorcyclists were killed and three others injured in three separate road accidents in central Delhi on Friday night.

In the first incident, two people were killed after the motorcycle they were riding was hit by an unidentified speeding vehicle on Vikas Marg around 10.45pm.

Pranay Sobti, 25, of east Delhi’s Shahdara, and Pankaj Thakur, 25, who hailed from Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh, suffered critical injuries after an unknown vehicle hit their motorcycle. They were rushed to a nearby private nursing where doctors pronounced them dead on arrival.

In a separate incident, a young motorcyclist was killed after a low-floor DTC bus rammed his motorcycle at DDU Marg on Friday evening. The deceased was identified as Punit Parashar and he lived with his family at Old Arjun Nagar at east Delhi’s Krishna Nagar.

In the third accident, three persons travelling in a Maruti car suffered injuries after their vehicle crashed into a PWD’s water tanker from near the ITO flyover.
