Traffic on the national Capital’s arterial roads came to a standstill for hours on Monday afternoon as protesters entered the Capital from the Badarpur border via Mathura Road.

Commuters had a harrowing time during the day as south Delhi roads were badly choked as thousands of protesters reached Ali Gaon through the Badarpur border.

The worst affected areas were Okhla, Sarita Vihar, Mathura Road and Badarpur, said traffic police. Anil Shukla, additional commissioner of police (Traffic) said, “Motorists were advised to avoid Mathura road towards Faridabad.”
