Vat changes criticised

The All India Tax Advocate’s Forum (AITAF) has criticised the Delhi Government for the recent amendment of sections 9 and 10 of Delhi Value Added Tax Act 2004.

The All India Tax Advocate’s Forum (AITAF) has criticised the Delhi Government for the recent amendment of sections 9 and 10 of Delhi Value Added Tax Act 2004.

According to AITAF president M K Gandhi, the amendments will force traders to buy raw and manufactured items from neighbouring states, resulting in a loss of about Rs 1,000 crore to the exchequer.
