Vengeful senior raises fake fire alarm on train

The New Delhi Railway Station Police have arrested a senior citizen for making a hoax call at the New Delhi Railway Station, reports HT Correspondent.

A senior citizen made a hoax call of fire inside a train just to teach a co-passenger a lesson.

The New Delhi Railway Station Police have arrested a senior citizen for making a hoax call at the New Delhi Railway Station.

The accused Jagdish Chander (60) is a resident of Khera Kalan Colony. He allegedly made a hoax call of fire in a train at New Delhi Railway Station.

“On February 15, a PCR call was received that Shiv Ganga Express scheduled to leave for Varanasi has caught fire. Seeing the gravity of the call police rushed to platform number 13 at the station. Because of nature of call Fire Brigade and emergency services of Railways responded to the call. On enquiry we discovered that there was no fire in the train and the hoax call was made by passenger Jagdish Chander quarrel with a co-passenger to teach him a lesson,” said a senior police officer.

Chander gives tuitions to children for a living. He was arrested after investigations and he has been booked for disrupting rail services and causing panic. The police have seized his mobile phone from which the call was made.
