The woman alleged that the unidentified auto-rickshaw driver called her after she reached home and threatened that he will subject her to the same degree of harassment which he did to her three times in the past.
The police personnel of the Mukherjee Nagar as well as senior officers of northwest district were puzzled because the victim neither agreed for a medical examination nor was she able to explain the matter properly.
Understanding the seriousness of the matter, an NGO was also roped in for the girl’s counseling.
But that too didn’t work for the police as the victim refused to undergo a medical examination on Thursday as well and even withdrew her complaint.
In her complaint, the woman, a resident of Kingsway Camp, told the police that she was out for some work when she boarded an auto-rickshaw to go somewhere.
On the way, she somehow lost her consciousness and later found herself dumped at an isolated place in Mahipalpur.
“She claimed that she somehow reached her home after regaining consciousness. The auto-rickshaw driver later called her and threatened her after which she approached the police and lodged a complaint,” a police officer said.
