JEE Main Result 2021 Live Updates: NTA score cards, final answer key out

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has been set up by the Ministry of Education to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 110 institutes for the academic year 2020-21. This includes 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 29 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). Admission to all the academic programs offered by these Institutes will be made through a single platform.

NTA will release JEE Mains Result 2021 only on website. The result will not be available to the candidates via SMS or via any other means. The direct link will be available here soon after the declaration. 

The cut-off is being prepared considering various factors that affect the exam — the total number of aspirants who appeared, the number of available seats, the difficulty level of the exam, previous year cut-off trends.

JEE Mains Result 2021 will be declared anytime soon. The list of websites where candidates can check their results are given below.

The negative marking is only for Section A question and there is no negative marks for incorrect answers in Section B. 

This year, NTA has introduced a new exam pattern for JEE Mains. The exam papers had 90 questions in Section A and Section B. Section A was of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section B had numerical questions. In Section B, candidates were asked to attempt five out of 10 questions. 

In case a candidate has forgotten the roll number or application number of the JEE main, they can retrieve it online.

Candidates can check their mails or SMS and note down the application number.

The application number is essential to check JEE main result.

NTA has waived off the 75% marks (in class 12 exam) eligibility criteria under Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) for admission into NITs, IIITs and CFTIs.

NTA will not only release JEE Mains Result, but will also release the toppers list. This year students scoring 100 percentile is higher compared to last years. In session 3 there were 17 students who scored perfect 100 percentile.

Soon after JEE Mains result, the National Testing Agency, NTA will release the seat matrix. The seat matrix will contain number of seats available in IITs, NITs and GFITs. Last year, there were more than 13,000 seats in IITs and around 21,000 seats in NITs.

The main significance of JEE Mains Result 2021 cut off is that students scoring above the cut off marks will be able to take admission to the undergraduate (UG) programmes -- BE, BTech and BArch at National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs).

To check JEE Mains result, candidates will require a set of login credentials. The login credentials are either Application number and password or Application number and date of birth. Candidates will have to enter the details on jeemain.nta.nic.in result link. 

JEE Main Exam 2021 for Session 4 was moderate to difficult on each day. Students and experts found the mathematics section to be difficult on all exam days followed by physics to be moderate and chemistry to be easy. 

JEE main was held four times this year so that students get more attempts to improve their scores to secure a seat in engineering college.

The result is awaited for the last session exam.

On September 9, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan released NIRF Rankings 2021. IIT Madras has topped in overall category. For admissions to IIT Madras, candidates must qualify JEE Mains exam followed by JEE Advanced examination. 

This is the first time JEE Mains examination has seen the highest number of candidates. For Session 4, a total of 7.32 lakh candidates have appeared for the examination. In Session 1, a total of 6.61 lakh candidates have appeared for the exam, 6.19 lakh candidates in Session 2, 7.09 lakh candidates in Session 3.

The JEE Mains Result for Session 4 is underway. JEE Advanced 2021 registration will begin tomorrow, September 11, 2021, onwards. The IIT JEE examination will be conducted on October 3 in two shifts. 

JEE Main Exam for Session 4 was conducted on August 26, 27, 31, September 1, and 2. A total of 7.32 lakh candidates appeared in session 4 across the country. 

In 2020, NTA had revised the tie-breaking criteria for JEE Mains result. The JEE Main tie-breaking method for JEE the Engineering paper was that candidates with higher NTA scores in Mathematics will be given preference, followed by NTA scores in Physics, and Chemistry. If the tie remains, candidates with less proportion of negative responses will be preferred, followed by candidates older in Age.

NTA will not entertain any revaluation or re-checking of JEE Main 2021 result. So, the result which is declared will be considered as final result. 

JEE Mains Result 2021 will be announced anytime soon. The top 2.5 lakh candidates who qualify the examination will be eligible to register for JEE Advanced examination. Those candidates who are not able to apply for IIT JEE can go through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA counselling 2021) for seats in other central institutions such as the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other government-funded institutions.

JEE Main result 2021 4th session will be announced for both paper 1 – BE, BTech – and paper 2 – BArch and BPlanning. The result for both the papers will be available on the official site of jeemain.nta.nic.in.
