Bollywood actor Fardeen Khan has been found guilty of consuming drugs, but the drug possession charge against him has been dropped. The quantum of sentence would be decided on November 2.

Bollywood actor Fardeen Khan has been found guilty of consuming drugs, but the drug possession charge against him has been dropped. The quantum of sentence would be decided on November 2.

"I'm happy that the drug possession charge has been dropped. The case has been going on for so many years," a relieved and happy Fardeen Khan said.

The actor was arrested in 2001 for buying cocaine from a drug dealer in Mumbai.

The actor claimed he had consumed less than a gram. Consumption of more than a gram of cocaine can lead to a jail sentence of 10 years.

Court agreed with the actor's claim.
