According to close friends, he's a mamma's boy. After his respectable debut in 36 China Town, the Patel hunk couldn't wait to celebrate his filmi success with his family. So, at the earliest opportunity, he took off to London to visit his parents.

Mama Patel, a British citizen with a political background, is rather proud of her sonny's achievement. "It seems as if the whole world has changed around me. Though I'm the same as when I packed my bags and set out to make it in Bollywood, it's great to be treated like a star on returning home," he says.
