First time dads share their experiences on fatherhood.
The actor clearly dotes on his daughter Teeyaa. “My day starts with her singing. She’s my life. Can’t take my eyes off her... I see a lot of Pallavee (his wife) in my daughter and, as Pallavee says, she sees my naughtiness and calmness in Teeyaa.” “She is witnessing her first monsoon this year, so she’s amazed by what is going on all around,” he gushes. “I’m proud to have a daughter like her. Girls have a special bond with their fathers.”

The feeling hasn’t yet sunk in that I’m a dad now. I want to do everything for my daughter Meher. Earlier I loved my sleep. Now I don’t mind getting up late in the night to change her nappy.

I’ve hardly spent time with my son. But now my wife and I are heading for Cannes and I’ll make sure I spend some quality time with Zen. Maybe, I’ll let him take me out to dinner. Yesterday was his birthday, and we had a blast. The only regret was that his four grandparents were not around.
Actor Emraan Hashmi became a father to Ayaan this February. “One hears so many things about being a father. But all preparation becomes secondary when that bundle of joy actually comes into your life! Ayaan was so tiny when I first saw him. He was so precious that I was scared to hold him. It’s a different feeling to hold a tiny human life, which is a part of me. I want to be there for every little thing he does,” says the proud father.

I’m usually speechless when talking about fatherhood. My son, Ahhrein, is just seven months old and it’s overwhelming to see a child that young grow everyday. Words can’t describe what I’m feeling. I’m looking forward to every change and am fully aware that as Ahhrein grows older, my responsibilities will get bigger and bigger. And I’m prepared for it.

When I wasn’t married, I used to always hear people talk about Father’s Day. And wonder what the fuss was about. I know now after I’ve become the father of twins, Neevaan and Katya. I’ve become more responsible. May be, I’ll even cut a cake to celebrate the day. I can’t take the kids out though, they are too small to understand what’s happening. But when they grow up, Gauri and I will bring in the day on a bigger scale.

Celebrating my first Father’s Day with my daughter Aara is such a thrill. My wife has planned the celebration for Mother’s Day. Let’s see what Father’s Day brings.
