He’s been shooting till post midnight, not movies but endorsements. “I’d decided not to sign any movie until I got a fantastic producer and a sound script. I was tired of my films getting a bad release, people not seeing them and flops being directly credited into my account,” grouses Dino Morea who has been on an eight-month sabbatical.

He’s hopeful the self-enforced break will end soon. “I have almost locked three scripts with good banners and directors. But I won’t say a word till the contract is signed and sealed,” he says, adding that he’s also all set to turn producer. “You can expect an announcement in a month’s time, and I might act in my own film.”

Meanwhile, the enterprising entrepreneur has been busy expanding the Crepe Station chain with a new bar format. “Barcode 53, the first of the franchise, was launched by Hiten Tejwani and his wife Gauri in Andheri on August 11. Barcode 50 in Bandra and Barcode 52 in Lokhandwala are next,” he informs, as he prepares to fly off to Brazil for the reality show,

There are two shows, Morea admits, he’s always wanted to do,

. He’s delighted to be offered the ‘desi’ version of the latter since it’s not so much about swallowing down creepy crawlies but doing amazing stunts.

“I’ve gone white water rappling and bungee jumping. But I’ve yet to try out sky-diving, may be I’ll get to do it on the show,” he dimples. “It’s such a thrill being paid to go off on an adventure to a place I’ve always dreamt of visiting. Only a fool would refuse.” How does he rate his chances on the show? Pointing out that it has a fantastic line-up of fit, athletic guys from different fields, Morea says. “I’m competitive but having a woman partner can be tricky.”

Morea isn’t scared of lizards and cockroaches, has climbed trees and caught snakes. If there are any phobias, he hopes to discover them on the show. He’s also looking forward to Rio, with its carnivals and Samba beats. Mention the women and he laughs, “Well, I can look at them. But I’d prefer to run into a Kaka or a Robinho. I’ve met basketball legends like Kobe Bryant and Karim Abdul Jaffar. Footballers are next on my list.”
