Turn off appliances: Don’t leave your computers, printers, televisions or music systems on stand-by mode. Switch them off when you’re done. It will save power and help cut down your electricity bills too.

Make wealth out of waste: If you have plants at home, gather the fallen leaves and flowers back into the plant pots. This will increase the soil fertility and also reduce the need for frequent watering. Reuse the water you washed veggies and fruits with for watering plants.

Reduce paper usage: If you have a printer with a double sided print option, use it. Check your account statements and pay your bills online. Send e-greetings instead of paper cards.

Save water: Don’t take baths, take showers. You will save about half the amount of water that you would have used if you were taking a bath.

Get reusable bags: You can’t recycle plastic bags so get yourself a reusable paper or cloth bag which can be used to carry your necessities.
