Jerome Matthews has sent a legal notice to Ram Gopal Varma asking him not to release his film. Jerome who was behind the bars for ten years in Neeraj Grover murder case says he has proof that the film is based on the incident.
Jerome has also alleged that the film is largely based on media reports and the facts have not been verified. Since Jerome had appealed against the judgement, the case is subjudice.

The notice also asks the filmmakers to withdraw all publicity material within 24 hours.
Producer of Not A Love Story, Sunil Bohra told Mumbai Mirror, “My film is a fictional one. I don’t know why, first Maria and now Jerome have sent us legal notices. As I had said earlier, we have nothing to do with any person living or dead.”
Ram Gopal Varma told the tabloid, “Our lawyers are studying the notice and we will give an appropriate reply in a couple of days.”
