Sooraj's 'acts' led to Jiah Khan suicide: court
Actor Jiah Khan was depressed after having an abortion, she was mentally and physically tortured by Sooraj Pancholi, which pushed her to commit suicide, observed the sessions court while rejecting Sooraj's bail application. HT reports.

Actor Jiah Khan was depressed after having an abortion, she was mentally and physically tortured by Sooraj Pancholi, which pushed her to commit suicide, observed the sessions court while rejecting Sooraj's bail application.
Sooraj, son of actor Aditya Pancholi, was arrested on June 10 after the police found a letter allegedly written by Jiah.
On June 21, the court rejected his bail plea observing that Jiah was mentally and physically tortured by him.
"A perusal of the FIR and papers clearly indicate that the victim was continuously subjected to ill-treatment by Sooraj," the court order said.
The order further said, "Because of the abortion the victim was mentally depressed… Because of this continuous series of acts Jiah ended her life."
