Bigg Boss OTT premiere highlights: Prateek Sehajpal fights with Shamita Shetty even before entering the house

Bigg Boss OTT kickstarted Sunday evening. Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is the show host for this year, welcomed fans to the Bigg Boss OTT house.
The premiere saw Malaika Arora perform on stage. Shamita Shetty also entered the house as a contestant and was welcomed by Karan Johar. The contestants entered the house after grand introduction.
Prateek Sehajapal stood out on day one itself. He found ways to irk not just a few co-contestants Shamita Shetty and Divya Agarwal but even Karan Johar. When Shamita Shetty came on the show, he fought with her even before entering the house. At one point, Karan Johar had to ask Prateek to tone down his voice.

11:15PM: Divya Aggarwal then entered the show. She told Karan Johar that she saw him on the sets of Student of The Year where she played a background artist.
11:00PM: Karan Johar then welcomed Akshara Singh as the next contestant. Akshara said, "I think Prateek Sehajpal can follow me." He said that he did not like her comments. However, Akshara Singh chose Prateek as her connection and then went inside the house. Upon her entry, Neha told her that she wants to watch how she will handle Prateek on the show.
10:45PM: Muskaan Jattana, popularly known as Moose Jattana, was the next contestant to enter the stage of Bigg Boss OTT. Asked about her USP, she claimed she is very cute. She chose Prateek Sehajpal and Nishant Bhat and after a few tasks, she picked Nishant as her connection.
10:30PM: Neha Bhasin was then given a choice and after some tasks, she chose Millind Gaba as her connection.
10:15PM: Urfi was then asked to choose a connection and she picked Zeeshan Khan and Karan Nath. After they performed push-ups with Urfi sitting on their back, she chose Zeeshan as her connection. Shamita then entered the house. After she entered the house, Shamita and Urfi discussed how Prateek Sehajpal made them feel uncomfortable.
Singer Neha Bhasin was the next one to make her entry. Karan Johar told Neha Bhasin, "I think you are my soulmate. Why did I not meet you earlier?" He also called her a perfect Bigg Boss contestant.
10:00PM: Prateek Sehajpal picked a fight with Shamita Shetty right as she entered the show. He first objected when she said that she likes K-pop and K-dramas. "You just said I have a Korean vibe and now are you trying to cover up by saying that you love Korean music and dramas?" he said.
When Shamita told him that he was thinking too much, he refused to let it go. Later, he also told her that he would never choose her over other contestants, adding that she is a liar.
Soon, Karan Johar welcomed actor Urfi Javed on the stage. She claimed she had a crush on Rocky (Karan Johar's character in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayege). "I did not have a crush on SRK, I had a crush on you," she claimed.
9:45PM: Shamita Shetty was the first female contestant on Bigg Boss OTT. She said a lot has changed since she last went inside the Bigg Boss house, ten years ago. "No matter whether the time is good or bad, we need to keep the work going. After I had agreed to do Bigg Boss, a lot happened and I was not sure if I should go inside the house. But I had given my commitment so I came here."
Asked to pick her "connection", Shamita declared she'd go with Raqesh Bapat.
9:30PM: Prateek declared that he has a "big crush on Malaika" while Raqesh used his own film Tum Bin's dialogue to woo her. Malaika then called Karan Nath and Nishant Bhat on the stage.
9:15PM: Malaika Arora came on stage and danced to Param Sundari. Karan Johar also shook a leg with her while welcoming her on the show. When Malaika asked him if she should go inside the house, Karan joked, "I am Karan, the one whose name is now connected with me (most probably Arjun Kapoor. Karan hinted at Karan-Arjun), what will he do?" Malaika and Karan then laughed at the joke.
Malaika also trained Zeeshan Khan and Millind Gaba to be flexible. She then called Prateek Sehajpal and Raqesh on the stage.
9:00PM: Karan Nath then made his entry. Asked why he is single, the Dil Aashiqana Hai actor said, "That is the reason why I am here." Prateek Sehajpal was the last male contestant to make his entry on the show. Prateek started on a wrong note and every other contestant felt he was "over confident".
8:45PM: Choreographer Nishant Bhat was the next one to make his entry. Comedian Bharti Singh, Dance Deewane judge, actor Madhuri Dixit introduced him in video messages before he appeared on the stage. Karan also told fans that Nishant worked with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil's team, In fact, it was Nishant who gave the hook step of Channa Mereya, he added.
8:30PM: Soon after his introduction and some discussion, Karan Johar wore a bathrobe and joined Zeeshan Khan to dance on Radha Teri Chunri. Zeeshan was also sent to the connection gallery.
Millind Gaba then makes his entry. He also sang a Punjabi version of Tum Paas Aaye from Karan Johar's Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. He is also informed about the "stay connected" theme of Bigg Boss OTT. He is told that he needs to make a connection and keep it going if he wants to stay on the show.
8:15PM: Karan Johar gave a dance performance and soon introduced actor Raqesh Bapat as the first contestant for Bigg Boss OTT. Raqesh said he would like to bring class to the over-the-top content for the show.
However, he was asked to wait for his "connection". Karan Johar introduced a new concept for Bigg Boss OTT. He said each male contestant will be paired up with a female contestant.
Actor Zeeshan Khan also made his entry, in his white bathrobe. When Karan Johar joked, "Kya kha ke paida hue (What did you mom eat before you were born)?, he said, "Bijli ka jhatka (an electric shock I guess)."
8:00PM: Bigg Boss OTT begins with Karan Johar entering the house as the Bigg Boss version of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Ghum song played in the background.
Bigg Boss OTT premiered Sunday evening 8pm. It will be aired on the digital platform weekdays at 7pm.
