A sea of saffron-clad devotees of Lord Shiva, chanting Har Har Mahadev, can be seen on city roads in this month of Shravan.

Kanwariyas, as they are popularly called because of the Kanwar (pole carried on shoulders with pots filled with water from the Ganga), decorated in bright-coloured paper, bring the city alive.

Along with their piety, they have a unique style. While many walk barefoot, others can be seen wearing branded footwear, carrying stylish pouches for mobile phones, sporting orange-coloured bandanas to cover their heads and flaunting T-shirts with the face of Lord Shiva, and of course, a string of rudraksha. Get inspired.
