A nine-hour makeover

The first thing that the hair expert suggested was that I change the colour my hair, which is a natural black, to a funky red and brown. It is the latest trend and would also suit my skin tone. While my hair colour set, I got a manicure and pedicure. In the middle of the latter, I’d to take a break to get my hair washed.

Then, with my hair still wet, I’d to rush for a facial as there was a free spot available. The beauty consultant suggested a Casmara facial. However, since my skin is a combination of oily and dry, and this facial is for those with dry skin, I was unsure of the outcome. But I noticed a clearer, glowing skin the very next day!

Next, I’d to wait an hour to get waxed. I chose the German chocolate wax, which not only makes the process less painful but also has a longer-lasting effect. By this time, it was 8 pm and I was running late for the party. But I was asked to wait another 15 minutes by the manager as make-up artists were refusing to work overtime; I thought that was rather unprofessional. Finally, a girl quickly did basic makeup for me.

After spending Rs 8,000 on a nine-hour-long makeover, I’d say that Bella Madonna offers great facial and waxing options, but it certainly isn’t the best one-stop shop for a makeover.
