The last day of the Delhi Fashion Week had only one show — the finale by Rohit Bal at his restaurant Cibo — which was grander than sum total of all the shows put together in the week. The venue was dimly lit because the collection, Raat, was all about a dark and dangerous night.

The Raat collection was full of sombre colours like grey, blacks and browns. Pleating, layering and a number of mixed techniques used to give different textures were commendable. And yes, it was reminiscent of Gudda’s last collection as he took forward the thoughts from his Spring/Summer ’09 line. Though the styles were almost same but they were reinvented to match international appeal.

The music added a chilling effect of the dark night and the models’ makeup made the whole presentation great.
In the last set, the menswear line was showcased which comprised jackets, biker jacket-styled coat and slim pants. The male models also walked shirtless, wearing aprons and holding flambé dishes on their hands.

All in all, great tamasha with some dhamaka. The party continued even after the show as people danced till morning.
