The actor spent his first three months’ earning in one visit to an Armani store. Meet the ultimate impulsive shopper.

How I dress for the day: “According to what colour reflects my mood on a given day. So, I have every possible colour in my closet.”

Favourite colour: “You’ll usually see me in blue, yellow, green, red... I love all colours. Except fuchsia.”

Favourite stores: “Of late, I’ve mostly shopped online. My go-to sites are asos.com — nice variety — and modamasculina men — I recommend this to all my friends.”

Impulsive shopper: “Yeah, I’m impulsive. I shop if I’m sitting idle at home. But when I have more work, I have more money, so I spend even more!”

First big splurge: “When I started working as an actor in Mumbai, I spent my first three-and-a half months’ earning in a day, at Armani. This was the first time I was spending my own money. I bought a jacket, shoes and a shirt. I haven’t bought anything so expensive since.”

Global shoe collector: “I love buying shoes when travelling. Whichever country I’m in, I won’t go into a Nike, Adidas, or LV. I’ll go to a local place. In Indonesia, they make lovely jute shoes, so I bought two or three pairs.”

Indian over western: “I love Indian wear. That’s why I really like the way Saif Ali Khan carries himself. There are very few men who carry themselves well in Indian wear, except once a year, during Diwali.”

Current obsession: “Jock pants. Also, accessories, especially belts and sunglasses.”

Fashion inspiration: “Ranveer Singh is really gutsy and daring in the way he dresses. He can carry off anything.”
