Supermodel Claudia Schiffer has teamed up with German knitwear brand Iris von Arnim to create her own cashmere collection.

A spokesperson from the company said: "Claudia is a global fashion icon, a woman with impeccable taste who has a strong vision and knows exactly what she wants for her line. We are thrilled to be working together and very much looking forward to the future."

The mother-of-three has previously spoken of her desire to create her own fashion line, but would only design clothes she would wear.

"I have been approached so many times over the last 20 years but it has never been the right time. Now, I would consider it but it would have to be the right thing. They would need to be clothes that I would want to wear," Schiffer said.
