From lighter tints like baby blue, turquoise, and aqua to darker shades like navy blue, peacock blue and midnight blue — Hollywood celebrities have been seen wearing the hue with elan.

Makeup artist Ambika Pillai says, “Delhi girls are cosmopolitan and are becoming increasingly adventurous to try blue nail paints.” Celebrities like Rihanna, Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, Taylor Swift, and Whitney Port have been flaunting their blue nails. “Being a bold distinct colour, keep it simple and clean. A beautiful cerulean or cobalt blue looks wonderful both on the hands or toes,” adds Pillai, lauding the blue nail trend.

Reshmi Singh, 3rd year college student, who has also dipped her toes in this trend says, “It is cool, breezy colour and reminds me of Goa and the ocean. If I can’t go there, at least my nails will remind me of a perfect summer.”
