“Deepika for me is that actor who has single-mindedly worked towards being where she is each day, and improved and evolved with time. She speaks the language of today and carries any kind of garment with a coolness which is very contemporary, along with grace, elegance and old-world charm,” says Manish Malhotra on choosing her as the showstopper.
“It’s a reinvented Indian couture line celebrating old-world embroidery and art and craft, along with ancestral Indian trends mixed with Persian influences,” adds Malhotra, describing his collection, The Persian Story.
