Delhi will play host to an international fashion week with 12 designers like Andres Aquino, USA; Mustafa Hassan Ali, Tanzania; Ramon Gurillo, Spain; Mona Pali from India and others. Sanjay Kapur, Managing Director, Riya communications, who is heading Oxybleach India International Fashion Week ‘09 says, “OIIFW has also entered into partnership agreement with Couture Fashion Week, New York and NOVA Fashion Week, Virginia to exchange fashion industry professionals, including designers, models etc — at their respective fashion events.” He says, “It will be a great business opportunity for Indian exporters and for international designers.
We’ll have business seminars during the three-day event starting from December 3.” However, Sunil Sethi, president, Fashion Design Council of India, says, “People who are organising this event didn’t have a discussion with FDCI. Had they approached, we would have liked to help them any which way.”
